What is Conti-Wave?

Conti-Wave machining is a precision-engineered tooth profile technology designed to enhance drivetrain smoothness and quietness. The chain enters the derailleur at varying angles depending on gear position, and the Conti-Wave tooth profile - applied to the lower pulley - ensures consistent and stable chain engagement across all gears.

The continuously chamfered edges of each tooth reduce the contact surface area between the pulley and chain inner plates by 82.5%, minimising noise, friction, and resistance while maintaining perfect chain tracking. The result is a drivetrain that runs quieter, cleaner, and more efficiently.
