Some days you just want to say yes. Yes to the museum trip, yes to lunch across town, yes to the grandkids' soccer game on the far side of the park. The OAS Air Carbon Electric Wheelchair is built for people who say yes. At 11 kg it is the lightest power chair OAS makes, it folds in about three seconds, and it rides in the back of almost any car. Here is how each number translates into a better day out.
Why the OAS Air Carbon Electric Wheelchair Is So Easy to Live With
11 kg means you load it yourself. The carbon fibre frame weighs about the same as a packed carry-on bag. Lift the battery out and the chair goes into a boot, a closet or the overhead of a tour bus without waiting for help. That independence is the whole point.
A three-second fold means no fuss at the kerb. One pull on the handle and the chair collapses to 28.3 by 12.4 by 70 cm. That is roughly the footprint of a rolling suitcase, so it fits beside the groceries instead of replacing them.
24 km of range covers a real day. Picture a morning at the farmers market, a long lunch with friends, a slow loop along the waterfront and the ride back to the car. That is still well inside one charge. Recharge in three to four hours overnight and it is ready again.
A 76 cm turning circle gets you into the places you actually want to go. Restaurant aisles, hotel elevators, your own kitchen. The chair pivots almost in place, so you are not asking a server to move chairs.
136 kg capacity on a 11 kg frame. Aerospace-grade carbon fibre is what makes that ratio possible. OAS backs it with Carbon Care+, a lifetime program that replaces the whole unit once for a verified manufacturing defect and covers designated wear parts, so you can plan trips instead of worrying about repairs.
OAS Air Carbon Electric Wheelchair Comfort and Control
- Cushioned 45 cm seat with high-density foam, contoured armrests and a flip-up footrest. Inside armrest width is 48 cm.
- Joystick on whichever side you prefer. The 360-degree controller mounts left or right and includes a splash-resistant display, LED light and USB port for your phone.
- Brakes that think for you. Let go of the joystick and the electromagnetic brake holds the chair, even on a ramp.
- Two 180-watt brushless motors climb a 12-degree slope, which covers standard ramps and most driveways, at a quiet 50 decibels.
- Flat-free 18 cm front and 10-inch rear tyres on magnesium alloy rims. Nothing to inflate, nothing to puncture.
- Power or push. A clutch switch frees the wheels so a companion can push when you would rather chat than steer.
- Anti-tip wheels and a safety belt are standard.
OAS Air Carbon Electric Wheelchair Colour Options
Sunrise Orange, Subdued Black, Soft Rose and Oasis Olive. Pick the one that looks like you.
OAS Air Carbon Electric Wheelchair Travel Notes
Flying? The 25.2-volt, 10.2-amp-hour lithium battery meets airline guidelines. Remove it, carry it in the cabin and let the airline know ahead of time.
Where it shines: indoor floors, pavements, paved paths and gentle ramps. Take it easy on firm grass or packed gravel, and skip soft ground, steep slopes, high kerbs and deep water.
Rain: the IPX4 rating handles light splashes. It is not waterproof, so avoid heavy rain, puddles and the garden hose.
